Capt. Jonathan “Stump“ Hamilton
Born and raised in Florida as a 7th-generation outdoorsman, I grew up in an agricultural family tending vegetables and working cattle, developing a deep respect for the land and water. With a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing, I’ve dedicated the past 15 years to guiding clients on unforgettable outdoor adventures.
As the Secretary-Treasurer of the Homosassa Guides Association, I’m proud to represent the traditions and expertise of the region. I specialize in guiding the renowned waters of Homosassa for world-class tarpon on fly, as well as inshore fishing for grouper, trout, and redfish. Beyond the water, I guide quail hunting at the picturesque 3 Pines Preserve, offering an exceptional experience for avid hunters.

Fishing
Stump fishes the waters from Bayport to Crystal River. Our home port is Macraes of Homosassa. We run an East Cape Vantage for sight fishing and Fly Fishing. For our inshore fishing we run a custom fully rebuilt classic 1968 Flat Back Aqua Sport. We offer standard half day and full day charters for Trout, redfish, snook. We also fly fish for tarpon, Grouper fish spin or fly and offer custom shore lunch trips.
Hunting
Stump guides some of the nicest bird dogs in the south east out of Three Pines Preserve in Pasco County. We run English Pointers and English Cocker Spaniels. We offer half day trips followed by some of the finest vittles around.
